Job Summary:
Provide urgent and specialized nursing care to patients in a high-volume emergency department within a Level II trauma and comprehensive stroke center. Deliver compassionate, efficient care while adhering to safety standards and hospital protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient needs through triage, ensuring timely interventions for critical cases.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures following established protocols and patient care plans.
• Document patient information accurately within the Cerner system and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide patient education, comfort, and support to promote positive healthcare experiences.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure coverage across all ED sections, maintaining flexibility as needed.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety guidelines, and industry standards such as AIDET and respectful behavior.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license and meet state licensing requirements.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Level 2 trauma or high-volume ED.
• Demonstrate advanced nursing skills, including procedures common in emergency care.
• Be proficient in using monitors, pumps, and electronic documentation systems like Cerner.
• Maintain certifications including ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC (within 90 days).
• Exhibit excellent teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills.
