Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in Medical Surgical and Telemetry units to provide exceptional patient care during weekend shifts. Must be skilled in managing a diverse range of patient conditions and equipped with relevant certifications.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive nursing care to patients with diagnoses including COPD, pneumonia, abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain rule out.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, utilizing advanced cardiac monitoring skills.
• Utilize rapid response and code teams effectively to address urgent patient needs.
• Manage IV starts, PICC lines, central lines, and administer blood products per protocol.
• Implement infection control measures, including isolation precautions and PPE.
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC and maintain compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid NY State Nursing License in hand prior to submission.
• Possess at least 2 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC charting and telemetry interpretation.
• Be able to float and adapt to various hospital units as needed.
• Certified in BLS and ACLS.
• Capable of managing multiple modules up to 5 hours for billing purposes.
