Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist (CRT) to provide specialized adult critical care services on night shifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in airway management, aerosol delivery, and mechanical ventilation troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care for adult and geriatric patients, including extubation, nasal airway placement, suctioning, and tracheostomy care.
• Administer inhaled medications such as albuterol, Atrovent, Flovent, and other nebulized therapies via various aerosol setups.
• Monitor and troubleshoot high-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP, CPAP, and ventilator alarms, and assist in weaning mechanical ventilation.
• Document patient interventions accurately using EPIC EMR and ensure compliance with all clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal respiratory support and emergency care as needed.
• Perform pulmonary hygiene procedures, sputum collection, and airway management for critical care patients.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Respiratory Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license with a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in adult ICU procedures, including ventilator management and aerosol therapy.
• Certified in ACLS and BLS, with current credentials required.
• Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma environment preferred.
• Ability to float to other units within documented competencies.
• 1-year minimum EPIC EMR experience.
