Job Summary:
The Operating Room Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to surgical patients, developing and implementing a comprehensive plan of care aligned with medical and surgical diagnoses. They oversee patient safety, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure adherence to aseptic protocols within the OR setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients’ physical status before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Collect relevant data through interviews, records review, diagnostics, and physician collaboration.
• Maintain a sterile environment by demonstrating proficiency in sterile techniques and anticipating equipment needs.
• Identify and implement interventions to achieve expected surgical and patient outcomes.
• Respond effectively to emergencies, changing patient conditions, and unforeseen complications.
• Evaluate and revise care plans based on ongoing assessments and patient responses.

Qualifications:

• Active California Registered Nurse License required.
• Valid American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience working in an operating room environment.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with patients, physicians, and healthcare colleagues.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and critical thinking abilities.
