Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room provides specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. They ensure safety, support, and optimal outcomes through expert clinical practice and collaboration with surgical teams.

Responsibilities:

• Administer preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Maintain sterile techniques and assist during surgical procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and overall condition throughout operations.
• Document all clinical activities accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Respond promptly to intraoperative emergencies and support patient safety.

Qualifications:

• Valid California RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years recent OR experience in a community hospital or Trauma Level 2 facility.
• Certified in BLS, PALS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Demonstrated circulating experience in General Surgery, Orthopedics, Spine, Urology, Robotics, OB-GYN, Plastic Surgery, or Robotics.
• Conscious sedation experience essential.
• Able to work 24-hour on-call shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
