Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit during night shifts, ensuring safe and effective childbirth experiences while adhering to clinical protocols and patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Administer direct patient care to obstetric patients, monitoring fetal and maternal vital signs throughout labor and delivery.
• Assess patient conditions, document progress, and update care plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and support staff to deliver coordinated obstetric care.
• Educate patients and their families on labor progress, postpartum care, and breastfeeding support.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
• Adapt to staffing fluctuations by being flexible with reassignments or floating within the system as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
• Possess at least one year of recent labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and bedside skills specific to obstetric care.
• Exhibit excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
• Be able to work night shifts and flexible hours as operationally required.
• Maintain current certifications such as BLS and NRP.
