Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring the safety and comfort of both mother and baby. Monitors fetal activity, manages labor progress, and assists with delivery procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess maternal and fetal health status throughout labor and delivery.
• Implement and monitor labor management plans according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Assist during labor and delivery, providing support and technical assistance.
• Educate patients and their families on labor procedures and postpartum care.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with relevant state board approval.
• Possess recent experience in labor and delivery or maternal-child nursing.
• Demonstrate understanding of fetal monitoring systems and obstetric emergency protocols.
• Maintain current BLS, and preferably, ACLS certifications.
• Exhibit strong skills in patient assessment, communication, and critical thinking.
