Job Summary:

Provides specialized respiratory care to patients with breathing disorders in an acute care hospital setting. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based treatments and ensures optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor respiratory therapies, including oxygen delivery, nebulizer treatments, and ventilator management.
• Evaluate patients’ respiratory conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Maintain and operate equipment such as CPAP, BIPAP, suction machines, and oxygen concentrators.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Monitor patient responses to treatments and adjust therapies accordingly.
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory procedures and condition management.

Qualifications:

• Valid registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Minimum of 2 years of current acute care hospital experience.
• Must hold BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Meditech EMR system preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong critical thinking and patient care skills.
