Job Summary:
The MedSurg RN will provide comprehensive patient care in a medical-surgical unit, ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained. This role involves coordinating with healthcare teams to deliver effective nursing interventions during night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor patient responses and document findings accurately in Cerner EMR.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate patient recovery.
• Ensure compliance with certification requirements, including BLS, ACLS, and NIH guidelines.
• Maintain professional standards by upholding attendance policies and reporting any issues promptly.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with WV or Compact certification.
• Possess minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Cerner EMR and critical patient care skills.
• Be able to provide at least 2 manager/charge references from the past 2 years.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Have reliable transportation exceeding 75 miles from the facility, with some flexibility for closer candidates.
