Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Medical Surgical/Oncology RN to provide patient care on a 29-bed adult inpatient unit. The role involves managing medical, surgical, and oncology patients with a focus on palliative care, family education, and complex clinical procedures, supporting a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive nursing care to adult patients, including oncology, urology, and telemetry cases.
• Perform technical tasks such as central line draws, blood administration, port management, PCA pump operation, and bone marrow aspiration assistance.
• Support chemotherapy administration and manage patient needs within scope of practice.
• Monitor and respond to patient conditions, addressing emergent needs efficiently.
• Float within scope to different units as needed, ensuring optimal coverage.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner and adhere to facility policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a WV or Compact RN license; pending licenses accepted with application submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in medical-surgical or oncology settings.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS through American Heart Association.
• Demonstrate proficiency in telemetry, central line management, and blood product administration.
• Ability to follow detailed protocols for chemotherapy and other complex procedures.
• Possess strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
