Job Summary:

Seeking experienced Medical Surgical/Oncology RN to provide specialized care for adult patients in a 5S Medical Surgical/Oncology unit. The role involves managing various complex cases including cancer treatment, palliative care, and related patient education.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemo, blood products, and medication via PCA pumps, ports, and central lines.
• Monitor telemetry readings and assist with port draws, bone marrow aspirations, and chest tube management.
• Float within scope to meet the facility’s staffing needs and accommodate schedule requests.
• Educate patients and families on oncological processes and care plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols, including flu shot requirements.
• Document patient care accurately using the Cerner system and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications:

• Possess minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Hold a valid WV or Compact RN license (pending licenses accepted).
• Certified in BLS; ACLS and PALS via American Heart Association preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in telemetry, central line procedures, and chemotherapy administration.
• Ability to float within scope and adapt to various clinical needs.
• Provide at least 2 recent manager or charge nurse references.
