Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse for Medical Surgical/Telemetry at Cleveland Clinic’s South Pointe Hospital provides specialized patient care during night shifts. The role requires recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry, adherence to licensing and certification requirements, and compliance with hospital policies.

Responsibilities:

• Administer bedside patient care, monitor vital signs, and observe telemetry rhythms.
• Recognize and respond promptly to cardiac arrhythmias and other clinical changes.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, including safety and infection control protocols.
• Complete required assessments and certifications during orientation and ongoing training.

Qualifications:

• Hold at least 18 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience.
• Possess a valid Ohio RN license or active compact state license.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication administration.
• Pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
• Submit a minimum of one professional reference from a supervisor or manager in the specialty.
