Job Summary:
Experienced registered nurse specializing in IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units to provide high-quality patient care during overflow situations. This role involves working in a Level I Trauma Center environment with a focus on neuro and trauma patients, ensuring safety and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients in the IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units according to clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including RNs, LPNs, and charge staff, to deliver seamless patient care.
• Monitor patient vital signs and responses to treatment, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Document patient progress accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record (EPIC preferred).
• Respond to patient emergencies, including neuro and trauma cases, with appropriate interventions.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols, especially in a trauma and critical care setting.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state or complying with NLC guidelines.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in ICU, Neuro, or Stepdown units; 3+ years preferred.
• Proven experience working in a Level I Trauma Center and handling neuro or trauma patients.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Current BLS certification; additional certifications such as ACLS are preferred.
• Prior travel nursing experience is highly desirable.
