Job Summary:
Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Long Term Observation unit, with the ability to float to other Med-Surg units and Emergency Department as needed. Ensure adherence to clinical standards, policies, and protocols to support patient safety and recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry to identify patient changes and respond accordingly.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic EMR in accordance with facility protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
• Follow infection control policies and promote a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Take on-call duties rarely, as required, while maintaining flexibility for varying shifts.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with a minimum of 3 years of recent Telemetry and Medical-Surgical experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Epic EMR systems; refresher training or on-site support must be documented.
• Possess current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Be capable of passing telemetry and BCRA reading competency testing on day one.
• Exhibit strong clinical skills in patient assessment, clinical judgment, and emergency response.
