Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care on the Observation unit and float to various Med-Surg and Emergency Department units as needed. Ensure accurate patient assessment, treatment, and documentation with a focus on telemetry monitoring and emergency response.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care by performing assessments, administering medications, and implementing care plans.
• Monitor telemetry data and interpret BCRA readings to identify patient status changes promptly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatment and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the Epic EMR system.
• Float to assigned units including Respiratory, Stroke, Cardiac, and ED based on patient needs and skillset.
• Comply with all hospital policies, safety standards, and licensing requirements.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 3 years of recent Telemetry/Med-Surg nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Epic EMR without refresher or 1:1 training support.
• Hold active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Be able to read and interpret telemetry and BCRA data accurately.
• Possess excellent critical thinking skills and adaptability for floating between units.
• Be capable of passing competency testing on telemetry and EMR usage on day one.
