Job Details

Job Summary: Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency room, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. Supervises and coordinates activities of nursing staff while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions promptly and accurately to determine immediate care needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment data and clinical protocols.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to care standards and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient treatment.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and discharge instructions.
• Participate in emergency response protocols and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two years recent experience in emergency or acute care nursing.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
• Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop appropriate care plans.
• Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system preferred.
