Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients on a medical-surgical unit with telemetry capabilities, focusing on renal and urological diagnoses. Manages post-operative patients, performs specialized procedures, and ensures patient safety and comfort during shift.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced nursing care and monitor patient status on a 36-hour day shift schedule.
• Perform procedures such as bladder scans, 3-way catheter irrigations, and incontinence management.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on treatment procedures and post-discharge care.
• Ensure compliance with travel and licensing requirements, completing onboarding within 48 hours.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient conditions and interventions.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current RN license in the state of practice.
• Demonstrate travel experience and flexibility to float to units of equal or lesser acuity.
• Possess BLS and NIHSS certifications.
• Experienced in managing renal, urological, and general medical-surgical patients.
• Ability to perform telemetry monitoring and related procedures.
• Strong understanding of patient safety protocols and documentation standards.
