Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric emergency patients in a fast-paced ED environment. Ensure timely, compassionate treatment and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize pediatric patients based on acuity and clinical needs.
• Administer medications, perform IV starts, and execute pediatric emergency procedures such as port access and Foley placement.
• Monitor patient vitals and utilize EMR systems to document care accurately and promptly.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and team members to ensure understanding and coordinated care.
• Follow unit policies, safety protocols, and procedures, including pediatric-specific standards.
• Assist with patients' ongoing management, including testing, specimen collection, and stabilization efforts.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with active certification.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of current pediatric emergency department RN experience.
• Be certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, TNCC, and ENPC; PALS can be substituted with ENPC.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pediatric IV placement, venipuncture, and emergency procedures.
• Exhibit excellent communication, compassion, and team collaboration skills.
