Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in emergency situations within a fast-paced Pediatric Emergency Department. The role emphasizes delivering compassionate, efficient, and high-quality care tailored to children and their families.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize pediatric patients' conditions upon arrival, ensuring timely interventions.
• Administer treatments, medications, and procedures in accordance with pediatric emergency protocols.
• Monitor patient vitals and responses, adjusting care plans as needed under physician guidance.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive pediatric emergency care.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Educate families on patient care, discharge instructions, and ongoing health needs.

Qualifications:

• Hold at least 1 year of current Pediatric Emergency Department RN experience.
• Maintain valid BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pediatric-specific procedures such as port access, IV starts, and venipuncture.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and a caring, competent personality.
• Possess strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork in high-pressure situations.
