Job Summary:
The Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit RN provides advanced patient care for acutely ill patients requiring close monitoring and interventions. The role involves supervising patient recovery, administering treatments, and coordinating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs, interpret telemetry strips, and assess patient status for early identification of complications.
• Document patient progress accurately in the EMR system (Cerner).
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations with clinical proficiency.
• Maintain compliance with certification requirements such as BLS and ACLS.

Qualifications:

• Valid WV or Compact RN license; pending licenses accepted for submission.
• Minimum of 1.5-2+ years of recent experience in a Stepdown or ICU/PCU setting.
• At least 1 year of telemetry experience and demonstrated competency in IV starts.
• Proven ability to read telemetry strips and identify arrhythmias.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS (if applicable) through the American Heart Association.
• Willingness to work 3x12 night shifts, with some weekends, and adhere to travel compliance requirements.
