Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist provides patient-centered rehabilitation services to improve mobility, strength, and function. This role involves developing treatment plans, supervising staff, and ensuring quality patient care within a outpatient/rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and treat patients through comprehensive physical therapy assessments and tailored interventions.
• Supervise PT Assistants and Aides, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation via Electronic Medical Records, including evaluations, discharge reports, and progress notes.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and facilitate communication.
• Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, and billing policies, including ICD-10 coding and billing procedures.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, safety procedures, and post-therapy exercises.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid active license as a Physical Therapist in the state of practice or plan to test soon.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EMR, Microsoft Word, Internet use, and relevant billing software.
• Possess excellent communication skills with patients, staff, and healthcare providers.
• Minimum of a Degree in Physical Therapy; continuing education preferred.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and perform mobility assistance for patients.
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods, with mobility endurance for 8-10 hour shifts.
