Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to provide direct patient care in a dynamic obstetric unit. The role involves supporting high-risk obstetric patients, performing vaginal exams, and circulating during C-Sections to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with healthcare team to monitor laboring patients and assess progress with vaginal exams.
• Circulate during C-section procedures, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety.
• Manage care for high-risk antepartum patients, addressing conditions such as gestational hypertension and diabetes.
• Monitor fetal heart rates using wired fetal monitors and respond to changes per protocol.
• Provide postpartum care, including initial newborn assessments and breastfeeding support.
• Document patient information accurately in EMR systems and uphold unit policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid California RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of obstetric nursing experience, including fetal monitoring and C-section circulator duties.
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to respond effectively in obstetric emergencies.
• Proven expertise in vaginal exams and postpartum patient care.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
