Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care within a high-volume, rural hospital emergency department. Ensure timely assessment, treatment, and management of diverse patient conditions across all age groups, adhering to hospital policies and safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patients' conditions upon arrival, utilizing triage protocols.
• Administer medications, including blood products, IV sedation, and vasopressors, following physician orders.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, interpret ABGs, and manage ventilated patients.
• Perform invasive procedures such as IV starts, central line care, and phlebotomy with precision.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for trauma, neuro, ortho-trauma, and cardiac emergencies.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record system and ensure compliance with safety and isolation precautions.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Michigan RN license or pending license, with in-hand certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent emergency department experience in a similar setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation, CVA, trauma, and neuro patient care.
• Possess current ACLS, BCLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
• Experience with Epic electronic charting system required.
• Ability to float across units and adapt to changing patient needs.
