Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in a Labor and Delivery unit, supporting obstetric patients through labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and adherence to clinical protocols in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage laboring patients by monitoring fetal heart rates and contractions, and assessing maternal status.
• Administer medications, including Pitocin and Cervidil, and perform procedures such as intrauterine monitoring and assist with C-sections.
• Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies such as shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage.
• Educate and support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
• Document clinical observations and interventions accurately within Meditech and CPN systems.
• Collaborate with a team of experienced nurses and healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with recent Labor and Delivery experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, preferably within obstetrics.
• Certification in BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring training.
• Demonstrated ability to perform fetal assessment and handle OB emergencies.
• Proficiency with obstetric procedures, including inductions, C-section assistance, and neonatal assessments.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
