Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to cardiac med-surg patients in a busy hospital unit, ensuring safety and quality outcomes. The role requires strong telemetry knowledge and experience with cardiac medications and drips.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment.
• Administer and titrate cardiac medications such as Cardizem and Heparin as per physician orders.
• Document patient information accurately in the Meditech system.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and adjust patient care plans.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and abnormal EKG rhythms.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies, safety protocols, and documentation standards.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with valid state registration.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of med-surg experience, with strong telemetry and cardiac care skills.
• Proficient in EKG rhythm interpretation and cardiac medication management.
• Familiar with Meditech documentation system.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends, with flexibility to float.
