Job Summary:

The CT Scan Technologist is responsible for performing advanced computed tomography procedures to produce detailed sectional and three-dimensional images for diagnostic interpretation. They assist with interventional and therapeutic CT-related procedures, ensuring patient safety, accuracy, and quality of imaging.

Responsibilities:

• Perform complex CT procedures utilizing advanced imaging equipment and techniques.
• Review and obtain comprehensive clinical history from patients, documenting information accurately in PACS.
• Prepare and review contrast questionnaires with patients and/or families, and administer contrast media as prescribed.
• Verify the appropriateness of imaging orders by reviewing prescriptions, communicating with radiologists or physicians as needed.
• Operate PACS system to evaluate radiographs and ensure images meet diagnostic quality standards.
• Prepare patients for scans by using shielding, immobilization devices, and providing clear instructions.

Qualifications:

• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and graduate from a Radiologic Technologist program.
• Possess NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License and ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (R.T.) license.
• Maintain certification through CEU credits and achieve ARRT (CT) within 12 months of hire.
• Hold American Heart Association BLS certification within three months of employment.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiological positioning, with technical expertise in CT software and hardware.
