Job Summary:

The Cath Lab Tech is responsible for supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures within the catheterization laboratory. This role involves ensuring patient safety, preparing equipment, and assisting physicians during complex cardiovascular interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and troubleshoot interventional cardiology equipment and supplies to ensure smooth procedure flow.
• Assist cardiologists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures by monitoring patient vitals and operating monitors.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols throughout procedures.
• Educate patients about upcoming procedures and provide post-procedure care instructions.
• Document procedural details accurately within electronic health records.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including radiation safety and equipment calibration.

Qualifications:

• Hold a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab/EP experience in a hospital setting.
• Possess current national certifications such as ARRT or RCIS and valid BLS and ACLS licenses.
• Be proficient in coronary diagnostic and intervention procedures, including scrub and monitor skills.
• Maintain a South Carolina license (SCRQSA or eligible), with proof of application if pending.
• Demonstrate knowledge of radiation safety with current radiation badge.
• Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
