Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical/Tele RN provides comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a telemetry and medical-surgical unit. This role involves monitoring patient conditions, administering treatments, and ensuring patient safety within a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health status and identify nursing needs.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor cardiac telemetry equipment and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care.

Qualifications:

• Valid WV or Compact RN license, with pending licenses accepted for submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in cardiac telemetry or medical-surgical nursing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
• Ability to float within scope as needed and work flexible night shifts.
• Demonstrated competency in patient assessment and critical situation management.
