Job Summary:

Provide specialized emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced, high-volume Emergency Department. Deliver quality patient care while collaborating with medical staff to meet individual patient needs and department standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions quickly to determine severity and prioritize care accordingly.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered by physicians.
• Document patient information accurately using Cerner electronic medical records system.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care delivery.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control measures.
• Participate in unit-specific staff training, meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in North Carolina or appropriate state licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center or high-volume ED.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC certifications required before start date.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to float within ED sections and work shifts scheduled every other weekend.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on patient experience and respectful behavior.
