Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide exceptional respiratory care to pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will have experience in NICU Level IV and Peds ICU settings, offering vital support within a busy teaching hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor pediatric patients requiring respiratory therapy, ensuring optimal respiratory function.
• Administer prescribed treatments, including aerosol therapy, ventilator management, and oxygen delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress in electronic health records.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing, certification, and safety standards, including RRT, BLS, PALS, and NRPC.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations, including ventilator crises and acute respiratory events.

Qualifications:

• Hold active RRT certification, with valid SC license in hand prior to start date.
• Possess at least 2 years of pediatric respiratory therapy experience, preferably in NICU Level IV or Peds ICU.
• Be certified in BLS, PALS, and NRPC, with NBRC or SC RCP credentials accepted.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic electronic health records and pediatric respiratory procedures.
• Be able to work flexible 3x12 shifts, including holiday rotation, with availability for call if needed.
• Show strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
