Job Summary:
Responsible for providing advanced respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients, including critical care procedures and medication administration. The role requires proficiency in managing ventilated patients and delivering specialized respiratory therapies in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor respiratory treatments, including mechanical ventilation, high flow nasal cannula, BiPaP, and CPAP therapies.
• Perform critical care procedures such as extubation, nasal airway placements, tracheostomy care, and suctioning.
• Manage aerosolized medication delivery through various setups, including nebulizers and inhalers.
• Troubleshoot ventilator alarms and assist in weaning patients from mechanical ventilation.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient care using EPIC electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and ensure safety.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RRT SC license and a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.
• Proficient in adult ICU procedures, including airway management and pulmonary hygiene.
• Demonstrate experience with aerosol therapy, medication administration, and ventilator troubleshooting.
• Certified in ACLS and BLS, with current certifications maintained.
• Familiar with EPIC EMR with at least 1 year of functional experience.
• Ability to float to various units within Prisma Health with documented competencies.
