Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery Nurse monitors and cares for patients during childbirth, managing high-risk pregnancies, assisting with various delivery procedures, and ensuring neonatal and maternal safety. The role requires quick decision-making, technical proficiency, and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess maternal and fetal conditions to develop individualized care plans.
• Assist with sterile speculum exams, non-stress tests (NST), reflex checks, and sterile vaginal exams.
• Utilize external fetal monitoring and administer medications safely.
• Support high-risk labor management, including vaginal delivery, forceps, vacuum, and C-sections.
• Provide neonatal and postpartum care, including pain management and surgical case support (e.g., cervical cerclage).
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality obstetric care.

Qualifications:

• Valid KS or compact nursing license at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of prior labor and delivery experience, including charge nurse responsibilities preferred.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications.
• Proven skills in fetal monitoring, IV therapy, medication administration, and managing surgical obstetric cases.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
