Job Description
Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures in a Cardiac Cath Lab environment. Oversees and coordinates the clinical activities of nursing staff while ensuring patient safety and quality care.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' health status and gather relevant clinical data prior to procedures.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and procedural requirements.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless diagnostic and treatment processes.
- Monitor patient responses during procedures, providing immediate interventions as needed.
- Educate patients and families about procedures, post-care instructions, and health management.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to nursing team members and oversee their execution.
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license in the practicing state.
- Minimum of two years recent experience in a cardiac cath lab or electrophysiology setting.
- Current BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred.
- Knowledge of cardiac procedures, invasive monitoring, and recovery protocols.
- Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to coordinate care and communicate effectively with healthcare team and patients.
