Job Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist specializing in CT is responsible for performing diagnostic computed tomography procedures with precision and adherence to safety protocols. The role involves preparing and calibrating equipment, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and capturing high-quality images for accurate radiological interpretation.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CT imaging equipment using appropriate kV and mA settings to produce quality diagnostic images.
• Conduct daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Inject patients with radiopharmaceuticals according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Maintain detailed documentation, including logs, manuals, charge records, and reporting equipment issues in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Perform quality assurance and safety tests, following radiation safety guidelines to uphold ALARA principles.
• Manage patient data and images, ensuring proper retrieval and storage for radiologist review.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited JCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Hold a valid New York State License (L.R.T) and ARRT certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency in CT procedures aligned with prescribed protocols.
• Exercise sound judgment in assessing and responding to patient needs.
• Maintain current knowledge of radiation safety and quality control procedures.
