Job Summary:
Provides specialized inpatient hematology and oncology care on a 28-bed adult acute care unit and a 15-bed stem cell transplant intermediate care unit. Delivers comprehensive nursing services to adult oncology patients, ensuring adherence to clinical policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other prescribed treatments per protocol.
• Monitor patient responses and document clinical data accurately within Epic.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care during shifts.
• Adhere to weight-based policies, including floating and scope of practice guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and facility policies throughout patient care.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in Virginia or pending license in hand by start date.
• Valid ONS certification (attach with application); chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification preferred or in progress.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• At least one year of recent inpatient oncology nursing experience.
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory.
• Ability to work night shifts (3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM).
