Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, focusing on those requiring ventilator support, tracheostomy management, and complex cardiac and respiratory interventions. Deliver high-quality bedside care within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' respiratory, cardiac, and overall clinical status to identify changes or deterioration.
• Administer and manage IV therapies, including blood products, central lines, PICC lines, and peripheral access.
• Provide ventilator management, including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube care, and oxygen therapy, ensuring optimal patient comfort and safety.
• Interpret ABGs, manage dysrhythmias, and monitor telemetry findings to inform treatment decisions.
• Execute medication protocols such as Heparin drips, PCA, IV insulin, and procedural sedation with precision.
• Document all patient care activities accurately in EPIC and collaborate with healthcare teams for comprehensive treatment.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NJ or Compact nursing license at the time of submission.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in IMC/PCU or Stepdown care, including ventilated and tracheostomy patient management.
• Demonstrate proficiency in IV access, blood product administration, and airway management, including BiPAP/CPAP and chest tubes.
• Be certified in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Display strong skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation, telemetry monitoring, and infection control protocols.
• Ability to float within skillset across similar units without exception.
