Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, monitoring serious and complex patients requiring close observation and intervention. Ensure patient safety and deliver quality care within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and identify patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, including IV therapies and blood products, following protocols.
• Manage cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and heparin protocols.
• Perform phlebotomy and adhere to isolation precautions and PPE guidelines.
• Document patient progress accurately using EPIC electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and respond to unit needs.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NJ or Compact Registered Nurse license.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent acute care experience in a similar setting.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS is required.
• Demonstrate proficiency in IV therapy, telemetry, and blood product administration.
• Ability to float within relevant units, including MS, Tele, IMC, and ED holding.
• Willing to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
