Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring the safety and well-being of mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth process. Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess laboring patients to monitor progress and detect any complications.
• Deliver direct patient care, including labor support, delivery assistance, and postnatal care.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Demonstrate professionalism by adhering to policies, maintaining confidentiality, and actively pursuing professional growth.
• Respond to patient and family inquiries with courtesy and empathy, ensuring a positive patient experience.
• Follow safety protocols, including patient identification, universal precautions, and emergency procedures, to promote a secure environment.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Strong assessment skills and knowledge of labor and delivery procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-risk, fast-paced labor and delivery setting.
• Demonstrate competence in emergency protocols and equipment use.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
