Job Summary:
Provides specialized perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room environment, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes. Collaborates with healthcare teams to deliver efficient surgical procedures and manages patient needs pre- and post-operation.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status and prepare them for surgery.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Assist surgeons during procedures, handling instruments and supplies.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative changes.
• Document surgical procedures, patient responses, and interventions accurately.
• Provide post-operative care instructions and support recovery processes.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of recent OR experience required, or 3 years with no travel restrictions.
• Active RN license in the state or a compact RN license meeting NLC guidelines.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records preferred.
• BLS certification required; renewal plans should be documented if expiring during assignment.
• Ability to work day shifts (4x10 hours) and be flexible for schedule changes.
• Residence at least 100 miles from the facility; no exceptions.
