Job Summary:
Provides urgent and specialized nursing care in a high-volume emergency department setting. Coordinates patient assessment, treatment, and discharge processes to ensure quality care and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions rapidly and accurately upon arrival.
• Implement and monitor emergency interventions, including RSI, stroke protocols, and central line placement.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth patient flow and timely care.
• Document patient care activities thoroughly in the EMR system.
• Assist with patient transfers and EMTALA compliance as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with at least 2-3 years of ER experience.
• Have completed 2-3 travel assignments in acute care settings.
• Possess current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC preferred.
• Demonstrate experience with high-acuity, fast-paced ER environments and patient ratios of 5:1.
• Show ability to care for complex cases including psych patients and high-volume trauma.
• Be team-oriented, respectful, and adaptable to diverse patient needs.
