Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant will support clinical operations by providing patient care, administrative assistance, and ensuring smooth patient flow within the clinic. They will collaborate closely with healthcare providers to deliver personalized care to diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical duties such as rooming patients, administering immunizations, injections, and medications as directed by providers.
• Collect laboratory specimens and assist with diagnostic testing as needed.
• Support patient communication through phone support, appointment scheduling, and facilitating communication between patients and providers.
• Assist with clerical tasks including checking in patients, ordering supplies, and managing inventory.
• Facilitate referral processing, including prior authorizations, and assist with prescription refills.
• Complete x-ray duties and phlebotomy tasks if qualified and certified.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or recognized certification (e.g., RMA).
• Current BLS certification required.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with healthcare team and patients.
• Ability to perform clinical duties safely and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Valid Medical Assistant or LPN license with active state practice credentials.
