Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will support clinical operations by performing both clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth patient flow and quality care delivery. They will collaborate with healthcare providers and the health care team to meet patient needs and organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patient flow by performing standard rooming procedures and assisting providers during exams.
• Administer immunizations, injections, medications, and collect laboratory specimens as directed.
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members to address concerns, questions, or issues.
• Support clerical duties such as front desk check-in, scheduling, and maintaining supplies.
• Facilitate laboratory testing, phlebotomy, x-ray duties, and assisting with prior authorizations when applicable.
• Provide phone support and assist with prescription refills as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience with clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, injections, and specimen collection preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a diverse patient population.
• Prior experience in a busy clinical setting is desirable.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant or related credentials required.
