Job Summary:
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for sterilizing, decontaminating, and assembling surgical instruments to ensure patient safety and operational efficiency in a high-volume clinical environment. This role requires adherence to clinical standards and flexibility to float within scope across multiple facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly of surgical instruments following industry protocols.
• Ensure accurate wrapping and packaging of instruments for each case.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain sterile processing areas according to best practices.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to support instrument readiness and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Maintain detailed documentation of sterilization cycles and instrument tracking.
• Float within scope to support multiple facilities and departments as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing or surgical instrument management.
• Certification from CBSPD and/or HSAP preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, or GYN procedures.
• Ability to work evening shifts, rotating weekends, and holiday rotations.
• Strong knowledge of sterilization, decontamination, and instrument assembly protocols.
• Valid SC license or pending application required.
