Job Summary:
Provides radiation therapy to patients in accordance with physician prescriptions and treatment plans, ensuring safe and effective delivery of care. Collaborates with the medical team to monitor patient response and maintain safety protocols throughout treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer ionizing radiation treatments following prescribed protocols and patient identification procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients, including communication methods during therapy and addressing patient concerns.
• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment, ensuring proper immobilization devices and safety measures are in place.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications, reporting findings promptly to supervising staff and physicians.
• Maintain accurate records of treatment sessions, patient charts, and related documentation, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Supervise and evaluate clinical students' performance during practical procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in radiological technology or equivalent; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Possess current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (AART-T).
• Certified in Therapeutic Radiologic Technology (TRT) and ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T); required.
• Maintain current BLS or equivalent certification; preferred.
• Demonstrate at least two years of recent experience in radiation therapy or related field.
• Display strong communication skills and attention to safety protocols.
