Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated RN for a Medical Surgical/Tele unit providing specialized care for patients with respiratory, renal, diabetic, infectious, and cardiac conditions. This role offers night shifts with flexible scheduling options and emphasizes clinical expertise in patient management and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive patient care for respiratory, renal, diabetes, sepsis, infections, and heart failure cases.
• Perform accurate assessments, administer medications, and document patient progress in Epic.
• Adhere to UVA float policies and prioritize patient safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain compliance with travel mandates, licensure, and certification requirements.
• Ensure proper handoff communication during shift changes.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with pending licenses acceptable, verified via Nursys.
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience in a Medical Surgical/Tele setting.
• Epic healthcare system experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory.
• Ability to adhere to UVA’s float and travel policies, including mileage restrictions where applicable.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
