Job Summary:
The Ambulatory Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive outpatient nursing care, supporting patients and their families through assessment, treatment, education, and care coordination. This role emphasizes patient-centered, culturally responsive care within a fast-paced clinic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and perform clinical procedures following provider orders.
• Recognize significant changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions or escalate care.
• Educate patients and families on care, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, referrals, and follow-up services.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active, unrestricted Alaska RN license or have applied for one prior to start.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Possess current BLS certification; case management certification is preferred.
• Demonstrate ability to apply critical thinking and nursing judgment per Alaska BON standards.
• Exhibit strong communication, documentation, and patient advocacy skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to a dynamic outpatient setting.
