Job Summary:
Provide high-quality emergency care as a registered nurse in a Level 2 trauma and comprehensive stroke center. Deliver expert patient assessment, intervention, and advocacy in a fast-paced emergency department environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions upon arrival, prioritizing based on acuity and clinical protocols.
• Administer emergency treatments, medications, and procedures following established guidelines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Cerner electronic health records.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, treatments, and discharge instructions with a respectful, compassionate approach.
• Maintain certification compliance and participate in ongoing training to stay current with emergency nursing practices.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with at least 2 years of emergency room experience.
• Demonstrate minimum 1 year of recent practice in a high-volume ED setting.
• Possess current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC (within 90 days).
• Exhibit strong teamwork, communication, and coaching skills to support multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Be adaptable to work in all areas of the ED with flexibility for varied shifts and weekend rotation.
