Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced RN for a six-week assignment in the Emergency Room at a Level 2 trauma center. The role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, diverse environment with a focus on teamwork and community service.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients with varying acuity levels.
• Adhere to unit protocols, certification requirements, and hospital policies to ensure patient safety.
• Document all patient interactions and clinical information in Cerner accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Maintain professional standards, including AIDET, respectful behavior, and ongoing patient communication.
• Float within the ED as needed, providing support across all sections of the department.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 2 years’ experience in an ED or Level 2 trauma center.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and other mandatory certifications required before start date.
• Demonstrated ability to perform advanced procedures on an ED unit.
• Experience working with GE monitors, Baxter pumps, and Cerner documentation system.
• Strong teamwork mentality, coaching, and feedback skills.
• Flexibility to work every other weekend and in all ED areas as needed.
