Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, utilizing clinical expertise to support maternal and neonatal health. Independently implements the nursing process to deliver safe, compassionate, and effective patient care while collaborating with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions using multifaceted information sources to develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and patient needs.
• Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs, promptly identifying and responding to changes.
• Educate and support patients and their families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
• Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and policies.
• Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health records.

Qualifications:

• Current California RN license with active Nursys verification.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Valid BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications.
• Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to independently utilize the nursing process to deliver patient-centered care.
