Job Summary:
Provides professional nursing care for patients in a Labor and Delivery setting. Uses evidence-based nursing practices to deliver individualized, compassionate, and efficient care while demonstrating age-specific competencies. Supervises and collaborates with multidisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and established protocols.
• Carry out comprehensive assessments, develop and implement patient care plans, and evaluate patient progress.
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum care, and parenting support.
• Supervise and support other nursing staff, licensed vocational nurses, and clinical support personnel.
• Document all patient interactions, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
• Adhere to all hospital and regulatory policies, including safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid California RN license with current Nursys verification.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications from recognized providers.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience in labor and delivery or obstetrics.
• Proven ability to perform age-specific nursing care for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
